New Orleans Pelicans vs Chicago Bulls: Game Prediction

The New Orleans Pelicans head to Chicago to play the Bulls on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. New Orleans is coming off a 129-122 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday before the day off for every NBA team on Tuesday. Chicago, meanwhile, beat the Toronto Raptors on Monday at home after losing to them on the road on Sunday.

Pelicans On Losing Skid


New Orleans is just 1-3 in its last four games and concludes its three-game road trip in Chicago on Tuesday. In its last game against Indiana, the Pelicans were outscored in both halves but it was a close game the entire time. They were led by Brandon Ingram who dropped 29 while Zion Williamson had 26. Herb Jones and Jonas Valanciuns chipped in with 16 and 14 points respectively, while off the bench, Trey Murphy III and Devonte’ Graham both had 11.

The Pelicans are currently 5-5 and in eighth place in the West while they are 3-4 on the road. This season, New Orleans has been led by Williamson who’s averaging 23.1 PPG along with 6.9 rebounds while Ingram is averaging 22.8 and CJ McCollum is adding 20.3 points. Jonas Valanciunas, meanwhile, is averaging a double-double with 14.4 points and 10.3 rebounds. As a team, the Pelicans are shooting 48.2% from the field and 38.8% from three.

New Orleans is will be without Garrett Temple, Kira Lewis Jr., and E.J. Liddell while Larry Nance Jr. is considered day-to-day while his status is uncertain.

Bulls .500 To Begin Season


Chicago is in the middle of a three-game home stand but after the game against New Orleans won’t play again until Sunday against Denver. In its back-to-back against Toronto, the Raptors beat Chicago by 9 at home, and on Sunday, the Bulls returned the favor by beating them by 14. They were led by Zach LaVine who had 30 points while Nikola Vucevic had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Off the bench, Derrick Jones Jr. also added 12 points.

The Bulls have been led by its two-headed monster in DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine who are averaging 23.8 PPG and 21.9 PPG, respectively. Vucevic, meanwhile, is averaging a double-double with 16.4 points and 12.3 rebounds. As a team, Chicago is averaging 111.4 PPG. They are also shooting 46.1% from the field and 37.3% from three.

Chicago is still out with Lonzo Ball while Andre Drummond and Coby White both missed Monday’s game and their status is uncertain.
