The Los Angeles Clippers have been in great shape as they’ve won five of their past seven games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Nets in a 115-90 loss on Saturday. Paul George led the way with 17 points on five of 21 shooting, Ivica Zubac and Norman Powell each scored 16 points while John Wall chipped in with 14 points and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Clippers shot just 40 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their offense from the start and were always trailing after scoring just 19 points in the first quarter. The Clippers did a good job of staying within striking distance throughout the game until the fourth quarter where the Nets cut loose. George had a night to forget as he shot just five of 21 from the field while Nicolas Batum finished scoreless on zero of five shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been the coldest team in the league so far as they’ve lost 11 of their first 13 games and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting routed by the Pelicans in a 119-106 road win on Saturday. Zion Williamson led the way with 26 points and six assists on eight of nine shooting, Larry Nance Jr. added 22 points and nine rebounds on eight of 10 shooting while Brandon Ingram chipped in with 20 points and five assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 48 percent from the field and eight of 29 from the 3-point line as they poured in 37 points in the third quarter to overcome an early 18-poiny deficit, only to get blown away in the fourth quarter where they got outscored by 33-19.

Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss, 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a losing record and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team below .400. The Rockets are 27-56 ATS in their last 83 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a loss.

Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall and the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Houston.

The Clippers have ruled out Kawhi Leonard and John Wall, while the Rockets have listed Jalen Green as questionable due to right shoulder soreness. The Clippers were on a nice run before they ran into the Nets in their last outing, but George shot a terrible five of 21 from the field which I don’t see happening against the Rockets who just haven’t been able to put together a 48-minute performance all season. The Clippers are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a losing record and the Rockets certainly fit that description.
