The Miami Heat invade the Scotiabank Arena to take on the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

2022-2023 NBA Preview: Miami Heat | BetUS Sportsbook

The Miami Heat have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after outlasting the Suns in a 113-112 home win on Monday. Bam Adebayo led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds, Jimmy Butler added 16 points with 13 rebounds and seven assists while Kyle Lowry chipped in with 15 points and six assists. As a team, the Heat shot 45 percent from the field and 15 of 33 from the 3-point line as they trailed in this one by as many as 13 points, before coming alive in the fourth quarter where they held the Suns to just 21 points to run them down and escape with the narrow win.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last eight games and they will be looking to build some momentum after sneaking past the Pistons in a 115-111 road win on Monday. Dalano Banton led the team with 27 points on nine of 16 shooting, Chris Boucher added 20 points while OG Anunoby chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Raptors shot 48 percent from the field and eight of 27 from the 3-point line as they controlled most of the game to build a 14-point lead, only to escape with the narrow win after their lead was cut to just one point with 7:20 left.

Looking at the betting trends, the Heat are 0-7 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games following a win and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The Raptors are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 home games against a team with a losing road record and the Raptors are 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Heat are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the Heat are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Toronto.

The Heat will be shorthanded here as Tyler Herro is out while Bam Adebayo and Dewayne Dedmon are both questionable, while the Raptors have listed Gary Trent Jr and Fred VanVleet as questionable for this one. The Raptors will be a major disadvantage if VanVleet isn’t able to suit up, so I’ll lean towards the most consistent Heat to earn their fourth straight victory in this spot.
