Game Preview: Heat vs Grizzlies
The Miami Heat (11-12, 2nd Southeast) will be in search of their second straight win on Tuesday when paying a visit to Tennessee and FedExForum to play the Memphis Grizzlies (13-9, 2nd Southwest), who will be playing the second half of a back-to-back after facing the Detroit Pistons in Motown on Sunday. Miami defeated the Boston Celtics on Friday night in overtime 120-116 with Bam Adebayo scoring 28 points. The Heat have won four of the last five. Memphis defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 117-109 on Friday night with Ja Morant scoring 28 points. The Grizzlies have won three of the last four. Omer Yurtseven and Victor Oladipo are out for Miami. Desmond Bane, Danny Green and Ziaire Williams are out for Memphis, while Steven Adams and Jake LaRavia are questionable.

Miami needs Improvement on offense
Miami has suffered through several injuries as leading scorer Jimmy Butler and third-leading scorer Tyler Herro have been in and out of the lineup on different occasions. However, Miami has Butler and Herro back, but must improve its offensive production as the Heat are scoring an average of only 109.5 points per game which is 26th. Miami is shooting 45.2% overall and 33.7% from behind the three-point line. Butler is scoring a team-best 21.2 points per game, while Bam Adebayo has moved into second in scoring with an average of 21.0 points per game. Miami has six players that average double-figures in scoring. Kyle Lowry is the leader in assists with an average of 6.0 dishes per contest and Butler is close behind that 5.9 assists per game.
Miami is eighth in points allowed at 110.3 points per game. The Heat are holding opponents to a 47.3% field goal shooting percentage and 35.5% three-point field-goal shooting percentage. On the boards, Miami is averaging 41.2 rebounds per game with 31.7 off the defensive glass and 9.5 off the offensive boards. Adebayo is the king of the boards for Miami with an average of 9.1 rebounds per contest, and is also the swat leader with an average of 0.8 blocked shots per game. Caleb Martin averages a team best 1.2 steals per contest.

Memphis needs to shoot better
The Memphis Grizzlies are scoring an average of 115.0 points per game which is 10th in the NBA, while shooting only 46.0% overall which is 22nd and 36.3% from behind the three-point line which is 12th. Ja Morant is the leading scorer for Memphis with an average of 28.2 points per game and is shooting 46.0% overall and 36.6% from behind the three-point line. Jaren Jackson Jr is the third leading scorer with an average of 19.0 points per game, as Desmond Bane the second leading scorer, is out injured. Jackson is shooting 47.8% overall. Morant is also the dish leader with a team-best average of 7.3 assists per game. Memphis is averaging 14.0 turnovers per game.
The Grizzlies are allowing an average of 113.8 points per game which is 17th in the NBA. Opponents are shooting 46.5% overall versus the Grizzlies which is 12th and 36.2% from behind the three-point line which is 20th. On the boards, Steven Adams cleans the glass best for Memphis with a team-high average of 11.2 rebounds per game.
