Injury Report: Hornets vs Raptors
Gary Trent Jr. and the Toronto Raptors have officially locked themselves into the play-in tournament, which could give them a shot at sneaking into the postseason. These next three games will determine the club’s final position.
Fresh off taking down the Charlotte Hornets on the back of Fred VanVleet’s franchise record 20 assists, Toronto will try to do it again. While the odds of jumping over the Miami Heat and getting the No. 7 seed are slim, they could still pass the Atlanta Hawks at seed No. 8.
Trent is officially listed as questionable for this game due to a back injury. With OG Anunoby also likely day-to-day with his ankle problem, the Raptors may not have their full arsenal of players in this pivotal matchup with Charlotte.
Anunoby is listed as questionable with an ankle injury, though Nick Nurse doesn’t think that he will be out of action for very long. The maligned Will Barton is officially probable after missing some games with his own ankle ailment.
As for the Hornets, Ball is one of many Hornets that will not suit up for this game. Charlotte has already locked itself into the No. 4 spot in the NBA Draft order, so there is no tangible benefit that could come with it.
A whopping seven players, including Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, PJ Washington, and Kelly Oubre, are all sitting this game out for the Hornets. Cody Martin is out, Dennis Smith Jr. is questionable, and Mark Williams is probable.
