Injury Report: Ingram questionable and three Pelicans remain out for game against Thunder

The New Orleans Pelicans will be in Oklahoma City to face off against the Thunder.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as Brandon Ingram is on the injury report.

Ingram played in the team’s first two games and has averages of 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 51.4% from the field.

The Pelicans are 2-1 in their first three games and most recently lost 130-102 to the Golden State Warriors (Ingram missed the game).

Ingram is in his eighth season in the NBA (his fifth playing for the Pelicans) and is coming off a year where he averaged 24.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field 39.0% from the three-point range in 45 games.

The Pelicans were the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 42-40 record and lost to the Thunder in the play-in tournament, so they missed the NBA playoffs.

If they can stay healthy this season, the Pelicans should be able to compete for a top-six seed.

Following the Thunder, they will play the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night at home in New Orleans. If they can stay healthy this season, the Pelicans should be able to compete for a top-six seed.

As for the Thunder, they come into the night with a 3-1 record in their first four games.

They most recently defeated the Detroit Pistons by a score of 124-112 at home in Oklahoma City (on Monday night).
