Brandon Ingram’s Injury Status For Pistons-Pelicans Game
The New Orleans Pelicans will host the Detroit Pistons in Louisiana.
For the game, the Pelicans could be without one of their best players, as Brandon Ingram is on the injury report.
The former Duke star has missed each of the previous two games.
Ingram has played in two games this season and is averaging 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 51.4% from the field.
The Pelicans are 3-1 in their first four games and most recently defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 110-106.
CJ McCollum led the way with 29 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes of playing time.
ngram is in his seventh season in the NBA (his fifth with the Pelicans) and is coming off a year where he averaged 24.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point range in 45 games.
The Pelicans were the ninth seed in the Western Conference and lost to the Thunder in the play-in tournament, so they missed the NBA playoffs.
Following the Pistons, they will play their next game on Saturday night when they host Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks.
Meanwhile, the Pistons are 2-3 in their first five games, and most recently lost 110-101 to the Portland Trail Blazers (on Wednesday at home).
Following the Pelicans, they will host the Phoenix Suns on Sunday in Michigan.
