Phoenix Suns Injury Report vs Utah Jazz

The Phoenix Suns hope to gain their first three-game winning streak of the year on Sunday when the Utah Jazz play host. Phoenix previously defeated Utah on Friday.

The Suns released their initial injury report ahead of their Sunday evening matchup:

AVAILABLE: Jordan Goodwin – (jaw)
QUESTIONABLE: Yuta Watanabe (Left Quad contusion)
OUT: Bradley Beal (low back), Damion Lee (knee)

The most notable missing name is Bradley Beal, who was recently sidelined for at least the next three weeks following a back injury that’s lingered since preseason play. He’s played just three games thus far.

“He’s eager to get out there,” Suns head coach Frank Vogel said of Beal (h/t Duane Rankin). “He’s frustrated, quite frankly. Not to really speak for him, but it is clear he really wants to have this thing behind him. He’s so excited to be here. So excited to bring his talent to this dynamic Big 3 that we have. It’s just not there yet, but he’s very eager to get out there.”

Jordan Goodwin has dealt with a jaw injury for the past few games now but hasn’t missed any action yet. He’s proven to be a valuable asset as a backup point guard in Phoenix.

Damion Lee is also out since tearing his meniscus and having surgery ahead of preseason play. He was one of the league’s best three-point shooters in the league last season.

Yuta Watanabe is questionable with a left quad contusion. As a role player, Watanabe averages 5.3 points per night. He is one of seven Suns to have played in every game thus far, though he is fourth-last in field goal percentage with 38.2% on the year.
