Suns Defeat Bucks in Return Home

Though it wasn’t easy, the Phoenix Suns earned their 30th win of the season after a 114-106 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

Phoenix now improves to 30-21 on the season and have won their last 11-of-14.

The Bucks dictated pace for most of the opening quarter despite no Damian Lillard or Brook Lopez in the lineup due to injury, though the Suns eventually climbed their way back into action towards the end of the first.

Khris Middleton went to the locker room after Durant stepped into his landing space as a shooter late in the first quarter. He didn’t return to action.

The Suns went into the second quarter trailing 23-22 after shooting a poor 8-21 from the field. Booker had half (11) of Phoenix’s points in the first.

The slow pace continued into the second, and so did Milwaukee’s slim lead. The Bucks led 49-48 heading into the locker room after a 25-9 free throw advantage over the Suns in the first half.

It was Phoenix who paced action in the third, leading 79-73 after Booker crossed the 30-point mark before the buzzer sounded. Jusuf Nurkic and Kevin Durant were also in double digit scoring.

While Milwaukee kept it close, a Durant poster over Giannis Antetokounmpo pushed the Suns up 13 and Phoenix never looked back despite a late push to make it a game.

Three Suns finished with 20+ points in Booker (32), Durant (28) and Bradley Beal (25).

Only four bench players touched the floor for Phoenix tonight.

The Suns return home on Thursday to battle the Utah Jazz.
