Kris Aquino entrusts sons Josh, Bimby to Boy Abunda’s care

Kris Aquino recalled a promise that her longtime friend Boy Abunda made to her, saying he would drop everything to take care of her sons Josh and Bimby if ever something happens to her.
In an exclusive interview which was broadcast on the Feb. 14 telecast of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Aquino looked back at a time when Abunda promised to be by her side, her tone calm yet full of foreboding given her worsening health condition.
“I just wanna take this opportunity Boy, na magpasalamat sa’yo because nangako ka sa akin, kagaya ng ilan sa pinakamalapit na kaibigan ko at yung mga kapatid kong babae, nangako sila na kung ano man ang mangyayari, mayroon akong dalawang kaibigan na lilipad dito [sa US] para samahan yung two boys,” she said, referring to her sons.
(I just wanna take this opportunity Boy, to thank you. Because you promised me, like my close friends and sisters, that no matter what happens, I have two friends who will fly here in the US to be with my two boys.)
Aquino also disclosed that she “entrusted” Josh and Bimby to the talk show host as they will be returning to the Philippines in “two weeks.
“I’m entrusting [my children] with you because the two will actually be going home in two weeks. Why did I decide on this? Kasi naaawa ako doon sa dalawang bata. Ako, makukulong na ako sa bahay. Pupunta na lang ako at lalabas ako para makita yung mga doktor,” she said.
(I’m entrusting my children with you because the two will actually be going home in two weeks. Why did I decide on this? Because I feel sorry for the two kids. I will just be staying at home. I will only go out to meet my doctors.)
On Valentine’s Day — which happens to be her birthday — Aquino also disclosed the next six months will be crucial as she will try a biological medicine to improve her heart condition. This, however, would strip her of any immunity.
The Queen of All Media also shared that if the four doses of the biological medicine wouldn’t take effect, there’s a high chance of her suffering from cardiac arrest. Despite this, she vowed that she will fight to stay alive.
