New Orleans Pelicans vs. Portland Trail Blazers Preview

The Pels are desperate for a win
The New Orleans Pelicans are coming off a huge 113-105 road victory over the Phoenix Suns. After four straight losses against Boston 104-92, Phoenix 124-111, Orlando 117-108, and San Antonio 111-109, the Pels upset the odds as 5.5-point underdogs at Footprint Center in Phoenix.
New Orleans held Phoenix to 44.8% shooting from the field. The Pelicans made 47.1% of their field goals (16-for-39 from downtown), and CJ McCollum led the charge with 31 points and five assists. Zion Williamson had 29 points, ten rebounds, seven assists, and five blocks, while Jose Alvarado added 15 points off the bench.

The Pelicans are now tied with the Suns for the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. They are just one game ahead of the Sacramento Kings, so the Pelicans desperately need to finish the regular season in strong fashion. In their final three games, the Pels will play the Kings, the Golden State Warriors, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
