Celtics dispose of Mavericks for 18th NBA crown
MANILA, Philippines – The Boston Celtics took care of business Tuesday (Manila time) and put away the Dallas Mavericks away for good, 106-88, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals at the TD Garden to clinch a record 18th NBA crown.
Jayson Tatum top-scored with 31 points while Jaylen Brown added 21 to lead the Celtics, who bounced back from a 38-point Game 4 beatdown, 122-84.
Luka Doncic paced the Mavericks with 28 points while Kyrie Irving followed with 15.
