Kristaps Porzingis’ Injury Status For Celtics-Timberwolves Game

The Boston Celtics will be at the Target Center to face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as Kristaps Porzingis is on the injury report.

Porzingis is in his first season with the Celtics and is averaging 19.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.8 blocks per contest while shooting 60.4% from the field and 45.5% from the three-point range.

The Celtics are a perfect 5-0 and most recently defeated the Brooklyn Nets (at Barclays Center in New York) by a score of 124-114.

In 30 minutes, Porzingis had 22 points, seven rebounds, one assist and three blocks while shooting 8/10 from the field and 1/2 from the three-point range.

Porzingis was traded to the Celtics over the offseason (via the Washington Wizards) and is coming off a year where he averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 blocks per contest while shooting 49.8% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point range in 65 games.

Following the Timberwolves, the Celtics will play their next game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday in Pennsylvania.

As for the Timberwolves, they enter the matchup with a 3-2 record in their first five games, and most recently beat the Utah Jazz 123-105.
