Injury Report: Jazz vs Bulls

The Utah Jazz travel to the windy city to face the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. The Jazz enter the contest with a clean bill of health, but the Bulls could be missing some key pieces.

Alex Caruso (elbow) and Patrick Williams (finger) are probable, while backup shooting guard Ayo Dosunmu is questionable.

Utah will be looking to turn the ship around after a sluggish start to the season. It’s early, but the way Utah has been losing should raise some eyebrows in the front office.

The Jazz are ranked last in the Western Conference in point differential per game at -7.1 points. This can be attributed to three blowout losses for a combined 66 points. However, if there’s a team the Jazz can turn the ship around with, it may be the Bulls.

Chicago is riding a three-game losing streak with an overall point differential of -8.1 points per contest. It’s been a rough start for both teams, but something has to give on Monday night.

For the Jazz to get on the right track, they must find some continuity in their backcourt. Starters Talen Horton-Tucker and Jordan Clarkson have yet to find their rhythm early in the season.

Both players are shooting below their career averages in field goal percentages and turning the ball over at a high rate. One has to wonder how long head coach Will Hardy will stick with his starting lineup, considering the slow start Jazz fans are getting accustomed to seeing.

However, despite the losses starting to pile up, Hardy acknowledged plenty of blame after Utah’s 28-point defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“This is no one person’s fault,” Hardy said. “I told the team this is not their fault. This is all of us. This is me. This is our staff. This is them.”
