Injury Report: Memphis Grizzlies vs Boston Celtics

NBA fans were excited to see Marcus Smart have a potential revenge game against the Boston Celtics, but unfortunately, that won’t be happening tonight.

The Memphis Grizzlies have a whopping nine players listed on their injury report: Jake LaRavia, Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, GG Jackson II, Luke Kennard, Ja Morant, Derrick Rose, Marcus Smart, and Xavier Tillman.

Jake LaRavia is questionable with a left eye abrasion, Steven Adams is out due to right knee PCL surgery, Brandon Clarke is out due to left Achilles tendon repair, GG Jackson II is out due to a two-way transfer, Luke Kennard is out due to a left knee bone bruise, Ja Morant is out due to a league suspension, Derrick Rose is out due to left knee injury maintenance, Marcus Smart is out due to a left foot sprain, and Xavier Tillman is out due to left knee injury recovery.

The Boston Celtics have four players listed on their injury report: Jaylen Brown, JD Davison, Nathan Knight, and Jordan Walsh. Jaylen Brown is questionable due to a right adductor strain, JD Davison, Nathan Knight, and Jordan Walsh are all out on a G League two-way. Jaylen Brown is potentially the only injured player on the team for Boston.

It’s worth noting that the Memphis Grizzlies are on the second night of a back-to-back tonight against the Celtics. Tonight will arguagly be the toughest game of the season for Memphis – to face the team with the best record in the NBA that’s relatively healthy, while also being decimated by injuries on the second night of a back-to-back.
