Cam Reddish out vs. Mavericks
The Lakers will be without Cam Reddish on the second night of a back to back with a groin injury.
Reddish’s status was announced earlier today which is the biggest change for the purple and gold heading into this matchup versus Luka Dončić and the Mavericks.
The Lakers are on a three-game winning streak, but for that streak to extend to four, L.A. will have to do it without Cam Reddish. The five-year guard who suffered a groin injury in the opening quarter versus the Utah Jazz has been ruled out against the Dallas Mavericks, as Dave McMenamin of ESPN first reported.
How long Reddish will be out is still unknown, but groin injuries can be challenging to recover from and can take weeks. Given how well Reddish has played on the defensive end, it’s a tough blow for a Los Angeles team that appears to be on a roll.
With Reddish out, other players will have to take his minutes and an increased role. I expect that player to be Max Christie.
UPDATE: The Lakers have officially listed LeBron James as questionable (left calf contusion), and Jalen Hood-Schifino (right patella contusion) and Anthony Davis (left abductor/hip spasm) as probable for Wednesday’s game against Dallas.
Jarred Vanderbilt (left heel bursitis), Gabe Vincent (left knee effusion) and Cam Reddish (left knee contusion) are all out.
