Grizzlies retire Marc Gasol’s No. 33 jersey in postgame ceremony
Marc Gasol becomes the 2nd player in franchise history to have his jersey number retired, joining former teammate Zach Randolph.

The Memphis Grizzlies retired Marc Gasol’s No. 33 on Saturday night at FedExForum following a 116-96 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Gasol becomes the second player in franchise history to have his jersey number retired, joining Zach Randolph, whose No. 50 was retired on December 11, 2021.
Arguably the most decorated Grizzlies player in franchise history, Gasol’s accolades include three All-Star games and a Defensive Player of the Year award while anchoring Memphis from 2008-19.
Gasol remains the Grizzlies’ all-time leader in minutes played (25,917), games started (762), field goals made (4,341), free throws made (2,701), rebounds (5,952) and blocks (1,135) and ranks second in franchise history in games played (769), points (11,684) and assists (2,639).
