Paul Lee attends Magnolia practice, but status for Game 4 uncertain
GOOD news and bad news for Magnolia fans.
The good news is that Paul Lee joined the rest of the Hotshots in practice on the eve of make-or-break Game 4 of their PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinal playoff against Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday at the PhilSports Arena.
The bad news? Insiders are not sure if he has fully recovered from the mysterious illness that, except for two-plus minutes early on, kept him out of Game Three of the best-of-five series on Sunday night.
The Hotshots lost that one, 103-80, and cannot afford to be without their best player and Game Two hero if they hope to stay in the running for the championship.
Sources bared it was easy to know that Lee wasn’t right before Game Three, where he mostly stayed in the locker room.
“He wasn’t the same Paul Lee,” a source bared.
The Hotshots guard still tried to play before retreating quickly to the bench, where he spent much of the time with a towel draped on his head.
Magnolia has yet to issue a statement on Lee’s health status, but an insider said Lee is recovering from his illness but won’t know for sure if he’ll be able to play or not until the morning before the match.
So Magnolia fans, better keep your fingers crossed.
