The Philadelphia 76ers will host the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night. The 76ers beat the Pistons in three of the four games last season, but these teams split against the spread.

The Detroit Pistons are 16-14-3 against the spread after finishing their three-game home stand with another loss, falling 126-111 to the Utah Jazz last night. Rookie guard Jaden Ivy led the team with a career-high 30 points in the loss on 10 of 14 shooting from the floor. Detroit also lost to the Sacramento Kings 122-113 on Friday as a 6.5-point dog and 124-121 on Sunday to the Brooklyn Nets as an 8.5-point underdog.

The Pistons are 27th in offensive rating and 20th defensively. Over the last five games, they are 12th in offensive rating and 27th on the defensive side of the ball. The Pistons have seven players averaging more than 11 ppg, led by Bojan Bogdanovic with 21.1 ppg. Jalen Duren, a 19-year-old rookie out of Memphis has also been a nice addition averaging 7.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

Cade Cunnigham (19.9 ppg) has only played in 12 games this season and is still out after undergoing surgery for a stress fracture on Friday.

Going for 6th straight win
The 76ers have won their last five games and also covered the spread in four. They beat the Raptors in overtime 104-101 as a eight-point favorite on Monday. Embiid led the way per usual with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Tobias Harris who was listed a questionable did play and added 21 points on 7 of 9 shooting from the floor.

Philadelphia is fifth in the Eastern Conference and 12-5 at home straight-up, and 11-5-1 ATS. Joel Embiid leads the NBA with 33 ppg, and leads the team with 9.9 rebounds per game. Over the last seven games, Embiid is averaging 36.9 ppg and 10.4 rebounds, while shooting 57.9% from the field and 88.2% from the free-throw line.

The 76ers have been playing without Tyrese Maxey (22.9 ppg) since November 19, and he is still a few weeks away from returning to the lineup.
