D’Angelo Russell’s Injury Status For Jazz-Lakers Game

On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Utah Jazz in California for their final regular season game of the year.

For the game, their star point guard D’Angelo Russell is on the injury report.

That said, the former Ohio State star is listed as probable, so he should be in the starting lineup.

Underdog NBA: “D’Angelo Russell (foot) probable for Sunday.”

Russell is having a very good season with averages of 17.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 70 games.

The 2019 NBA All-Star is also shooting 47.0% from the field and 39.6% from the three-point range.

He was traded to the Lakers (via the Minnesota Timberwolves) in February and has helped them completely turn around their season.

Right now, the Lakers are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 42-39 record in 81 games.

They are 8-2 in their last ten games and a solid 22-18 in the 40 games they have hosted on their home floor in Los Angeles, California.

As for the Jazz, they are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 37-44 record in 81 games.

They are 2-8 in their last ten games and 14-26 in the 40 games they have played on the road away from Salt Lake City, Utah.

After making the NBA Playoffs for five seasons in a row, the Jazz will miss the 2023 postseason.

Over the offseason, they traded away their two best players, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.
